Here's how Poems [for, about, because] My Friends came to be

Hello! You may have noticed, in recent newsletters, that I have mentioned my book. Oh, did I forget to mention my book? Tee-hee-hee, silly Hattie, what a ding-dong! Well, gee, here is the link to my poetry chapbook, which is available to pre-order right now, and which is called Poems [for, about, because] My Friends.

Sorry. I know, it’s probably obnoxious that I will not shut up about the damn book! But guess what? It is my FIRST chapbook and so I am going to be VERY A LITTLE BIT SORT OF EXTREMELY ANNOYING, and if you do not like that, I give you permission to text me barfing/angry emojis. Because I am gonna talk about the book a lot in the next couple weeks.

Here’s something I thought may be interesting: a sort of “book BTS,” a behind-the-scenes look at how this manuscript was composed, what’s in there besides poetry, etc. Our story begins, really, in January of 2022.
